Free public transportation within Aalborg
EORS 2024 provides free public transportation for all participants at the conference within Aalborg (incl. airport, venue and city center). You will receive an e-mail with instruction once we get closer to the conference.
If you did not receive the e-mail a week before the conference or have any questions, please contact us at eors2024@cap-partner.eu.
From City Center to AAU innovation
- Bus 2 (Universitet)– go down: AAU Fibigerstræde (Bertil Ohlins Vej / Aalborg) – every 15 minutes
- Bus 12 (Gistrup) – go down: Da Vinci Parken (Alfred Nobels Vej / Aalborg) – every 30 minutes
- The same buses go back in the city center.
From Airport to City Center

Travel planner recommendations

Both provides a user-friendly interface for planning travel by public transport in Denmark.
Travel by air to Aalborg
Aalborg Airport is located close to the city. Public busses from the airport leave three to five times per hour, and take around 15 minutes to reach the city centre.
From Aalborg Airport it’s possible to take a taxi to the city center (approx. 150 DKK) or use one of the local busses going to the city. The bus stop is just outside the Airport terminal, but make sure you take the bus in the right direction.
Travel by train to Aalborg
Aalborg Railway station is located in the city center and allows conference attendees to travel to Aalborg from almost all European countries with comfort and ease.

Please be aware that we have been informed about companies offering hotel bookings for EORS 2024. These might be scam companies, and we therefore recommend only to use official hotel booking sites here
The conference secretariat (CAP Partner) has negotiated special rates for EORS participants at the following hotels. The discounted rates will be available so long as the hotels are available. We therefore strongly encourage participants to book as soon as possible.

🚌 The conference venue is easily reached by public transportation (bus stop 500 m from hotel) and the approximate travel time is 30 minutes. Take bus 2 from Pontoppidansstræde towards Væddeløbsbanen for 15 minutes and step off at Aalborg st. then 7 mintes walk to Europaplads 1, 9000 Aalborg.
Special discounts have been negotiated for EORS participants at both Scandic Hotels when booking via the below link. The special rates are valid for the nights of 17, 18, and 19 September 2024. Other nights cannot be booked using the booking code, and you should contact the hotel directly to book any such extra dates.
To obtain the discounted rate, enter Aalborg in the hotel field, enter your required check-in and check-out dates, choose number of guests and room, click booking code, bonus cheque or reward night and enter the special code BCAP180924 in the field and click the red Update button.
